As a therapist specializing in trauma-informed care, I operate from a framework that considers each person’s lived experiences as building blocks to how they think, feel, interact with others, and interpret the world around them. I strive to help my clients build a better understanding of how these experiences may be affecting their ability to move past certain things getting in the way of living a life they desire for themselves and coming into their own.

It’s possible that you may be carrying unresolved emotional wounds from your past that have not yet been addressed. Together, we will explore the ways in which your past may be influencing your present and work towards empowering your body and mind’s innate ability to heal.

I find it incredibly meaningful to assist my clients in uncovering deep-rooted challenges and guiding them in reshaping their narrative. By doing so, they can alleviate the distress that their past experiences may have caused. This aspect of the work is what I am most passionate about.

Why choose to work with me?

Although I use a variety of techniques and clinical skills, my favorite β€œtool” in my toolbox is a focus on the therapeutic relationship. I understand that every person is unique and that a β€œone-size fits all” approach isn’t going to work for everyone. Ensuring that my clients feel seen, understood, and held in the therapeutic space is really the groundwork to allow for change. My approach is a combination of clinical insight, gentle and curious exploration, and most of the time, lighthearted and down-to-earth.

A Bit More About My Approach

Using an integrative approach to care, my work tends to the emotional, cognitive, physical, and faith-based. This is done by using a range of modalities, most predominantly, Eye Movement Desenitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I will also use other techniques in our sessions together, such as, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Faith-Based Counseling from a Christian perspective for those interested in a faith-based approach to their treatment. t.

Faith-Based Care

For clients who desire it, I offer the option of integrating their Christian faith into the counseling process. I believe emotional, relational, and spiritual well-being are interconnected. Therapy can provide a space to explore all of these integral aspects of what makes us who we are. This may include exploring how your beliefs, values, relationship with God, past church experiences, prayer life, and spiritual resources can support your healing and growth.

As a trained psychotherapist, I utilize evidence-based approaches such as EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), while thoughtfully incorporating Christian perspectives when requested. Whether you are seeking support for trauma, anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, or personal growth, I strive to provide a compassionate and clinically sound approach that honors both your faith and your mental health journey.
